Archangel Heritage Ltd was established in 2010 by architectural historian and former archivist Karen Averby to provide a range of research services for people and organisations within the commercial heritage sector in England and Wales.

Historical research is a crucial element in understanding the historical development and significance of buildings and sites within their geographical and historical setting as part of the planning process.

Our expert research team are skilled in project scoping and identifying relevant and necessary sources to specific project requirements. The team is headed by Director Karen Averby who has over 20 years experience of working within the heritage sector, over 15 of those in private consultancy undertaking historical research.
